These instructions are for installation of the HP Windows drivers,
not the AutoCad drivers ( Click here for the AutoCad install ).
We suggest that you print this page to make it a little easier
while you go through the process.

Your version of  Windows may vary from this, but you should
have enough information to get you through it.

After clicking on the link to the driver page and selecting the
correct driver, you will be prompted with the window below:

Choose "Save this program to disk". Then hit "OK"

The next window below will come up asking where you want to
save this file. You can save it anywhere but the desktop, as
shown is the most convenient place and you'll see why.

Click "Save"

The file containing the drivers is now downloading:

When the download is complete the window above
will change to the window below:

Choose "Close"  and if you saved the file to your desktop
you can start the install by double clicking the icon
like the one below on your desktop:

Once you double click the icon a  window similar
to the one below will come up, Choose "Unzip".

The files will unzip, click "OK".

Click "Close"

The files you need are now ready for you to install
and you should now be back to your desktop.
Click "Start" go to "Settings" then "Printers"

In this window double click the "Add Printer" Icon

That starts the Add Printer Wizard. Click "Next".

Click the "Local Printer" then click "Next"

In this next window select "Have Disk".

Click on "Browse".

Browse to the "C:\Windows\Temp". Which is where you unzipped
the driver files earlier. Then click "OK".

Click "OK" again.

From the window below select the appropriate driver from
the list and click "Next

Choose the "LPT1: Printer Port" and Click "Next"

If you choose to change the name of your printer you
can do this now in this window or leave it the way that
it is. You normally won't select this as your default printer
so here select "No". Then click "Next".

This completes installing the drivers. You should now have an icon in your
Printers Window of the printer we just installed, like below. And you can
now close this window.

The last thing to do is get rid of the file we saved on your
desktop in the beginning. Right click on that icon and
a menu will pop up. Click on "Delete". Windows as usual
asks If Your Sure You Want To? Tell It YES.

And now your ready to use these drivers.
